  • An innovative conference on Russian technologies and the latest solutions for City Conference was successfully held in Singapore.

    On December 2, the conference "Smart City Technologies: The Latest Smart Solutions for Complex Projects”, organized by the Russian Asian Business Union on the initiative of the Moscow Government and the Russia-Singapore Business Council, was successfully held at The Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore.

     

    The purpose of the event was to demonstrate the investment potential of the Russian capital, to familiarize Singaporeans with advanced Russian technologies, as well as to exchange experience in the field of technological solutions for megacities.

    The conference was officiated and opened by Mr Andrey Tatarinov - Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Singapore with a very insightful welcome speech.

    The Minister of the Government of Moscow, the Head of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of Moscow Sergey Cheremin made an interesting and informative presentation on the latest technologies that is actively and successfully used in Russia. Presently, the use of artificial intelligence, the introduction of modern video surveillance systems, online education, a single online medical platform, Internet resources for the interaction of citizens with government bodies, etc. has greatly improved the life of Muscovites and transformed the look of the Russian capital.

    Deputy Chairman - Executive Director of the Russia-Singapore Business Council (RSDS) Sergey Pronin shared information with the guests of the conference about investment projects for development of innovative infrastructures in Russia and abroad, as well as about products and integrated solutions of Shvabe JSC for the "smart city”.

    Vinnie Theo, an RSDS representative as well, has shared information on the key areas of the Business Council in Singapore and the project potential of the Foreign Promotion Center and the Distributed Engineering Center.

    Joseph Theo, Director of FHL Capital Pte Ltd., spoke in detail about the features of the development of the Singapore financial sector and modern banking technologies, as well as the possibility of their application in investment projects.

    The general producer of the "Big Asia” television channel Sergey Savushkin, added an interesting twist to the speeches of the speakers with a colorful video about the potential of Russia and the countries of Asia, as well as the directions of development of relations between the countries.

    The conference was concluded by Tatiana Sheremetieva, Director of the Russian Asian Business Union. She has given a brief overview of the speakers' speeches emphasizing on the huge potential of the Russian Federation and the opportunities for Singaporeans in the Russian market:

    "In addition to the richest natural resources, Russia has tremendous personnel potential: Russian developers are considered the best in the world, and the country's universities annually graduate more than 454,000 specialists in the field of engineering, production and construction. At present, the country has more than 70 million people of purchasing power. Russia is multifaceted and may be of interest to Asian partners in many areas. I would like to single out: the supply of natural resources, IT specialists, as well as the production base and market for goods and services”.

    The conference was a success which was proved with the huge presence of many parties interested in the growing potential of Russia and a keen interest in investing in Russian technologies, which was highly expressed by the conference guests at the networking session after the conference. Many have complimented the information shared was very alluring and was very useful in considering their expansion into the growing technology market.
