    Amur Entrepreneurs Business Mission to be held in Tokyo on November 25-26th, 2019

    On November 25-26th in Tokyo, as part of the Amur Region’s international business mission to Japan, a series of events and business meetings will be hosted and headed by Governor of the Amur Region, Vasily Orlov, and organized by the Russian-Asian Business Union and Prof Service LLC, with the aim of promoting the export of products from small and medium-sized enterprises of the Amur region to markets of Japan.

    On November 25th an official delegation which, in addition to the Governor, includes the Mayor of Blagoveshchensk, Valentina Kalita; the Minister of Agriculture of the Amur Region, Oleg Turkov; the Minister of Transport and Road Management of the Amur Region, Alexander Zelenin; the Director of the Amur Region Investment Promotion Agency, Pavel Puzanov and other dignitaries will present the potential of the Amur Region at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu.

    In a quotation to the Government media, Governor Vasily Orlov said "We have good prospects for cooperation with Japan. The market of the Asian region, including the markets of Japan and South Korea, is a promising direction for us. In my opinion, Japan is a good growth point; therefore, studying the language and culture of this country is all part of the process of building foreign economic relations.”

    In 2018, the Amur Region achieved:

    • 1st place in the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) for the production of soy and soybean oil;

    • 4th place in the FEFD on foreign direct investment;

    • 27th place in the Russian Federation in terms of investment attractiveness.

    After a speech by the official delegation at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu, a presentation will be held by manufacturers and entrepreneurs of the Amur Region representing four production categories: honey and bee products, soy and soy products, grain crops and wood processing products; several Russian banks will also be represented.

    Manufacturers and entrepreneurs of the Amur Region will meet with representatives of Japanese companies and associations interested in purchasing the presented products and discuss potential cooperation.

    This is not the first business mission of the Amur Region to Japan. To date, there have already been several examples of successful entry of Amur agricultural products into Japanese markets.

    11:00-13:00 - Presentation of the potential of the Amur Region.

    13:00-14:00 - Reception.

    14:00-15:00 - Pitch session with customers. B2B meetings

    15:00-15:30 - Networking.
