  • Korea Brand Expo 2019

    This spring, Moscow hosted one of the key exhibition events. Korea Brand Expo was held in the congress hall of the World Trade Center on May 23-24, 2019. LOTTE Home Shopping company was the main event organizer. The exhibition was also supported by a number of companies and organizations, including the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the Presidential Council for Northern Economic Cooperation, KOFCA, the Russian-Korean Innovation Center, the Incheon Port Authority and others. The Russian Asian Business Union acted as a local exhibition partner. Helpinver company provided the project's information support.

     

    This event is unique for Moscow and Russia. Its visitors had a rare chance to get acquainted with the products that leading South Korean manufacturers offer in the domestic and global market. About 55 small and medium-sized enterprises in South Korea and about 140 representatives of various companies in Russia and the CIS took part in the exhibition. They were able to get the detailed information concerning the best new products in the field of decorative cosmetics and cosmetology, medicine and technology, to personally meet with representatives of companies and discuss the possibility and prospects for cooperation.


    "South Korea is a recognized trend setter in the field of beauty industry and cosmetology in Asian countries, which is still little known in Russia,” Tatyana Sheremetyeva, the general director of the Russian Asian Business Union, commented. - "More than 55 Korean companies widely known in Korea and abroad took part at the Korea Brand Expo. Their products are popular all over the world. This is a unique opportunity to get to know South Korea in Moscow!”


    The opening ceremony was addressed by Lee Wang Shin, CEO of Lotte Home Shopping; Lee Sok Peh, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Russian Federation; Vladimir Ionkin, Deputy Executive Director, Retail Companies Association; Cho Chang Sang, Deputy Head of the Economic Cooperation Committee for the Northern Direction; Yoon Joo Hyun, Director of the Korean Institute for the Promotion of Design; and amazing Kim So-sung, the star of Korean television and cinema, a special guest at the exhibition.


    The two-day program was very intense. Individual B2B sessions were held for trade and business representatives. All guests of the event could enjoy with K-Makeup Show from the top makeup artist Baek Kee Wun and K-Pop Performance with the participation of such stars of South Korean show business as Animation Crew and Artgee girls. Kim So-Eun performed as a special guest of the program.


    The exhibition was very successful. As representatives of LOTTE Home Shopping reported on May 27, the company held about 757 export consultations during the exhibition, which amounted to $ 62.4 million.
